The investment will be used to support construction of Argentina’s fourth nuclear power plant, Atucha III, the Nestor Kirchner and Jorge Cepernic hydropower dams, and the expansion of the 300 MW Cauchari PV farm in the province of Jujuy.

Atucha III will be an 800 MW plant based around the Candu 6 design of the Qinshan plant in China's Zhejiang province. China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) will provide technical support, services, equipment, and instrumentation. Nucleoeléctrica will be the owner of the project and will be responsible for construction, commissioning, and operation of the plant.

An investment of $400 million will be used to expand the Cauchari PV farm complex to 715 MW. The plant owner is Argentine state-run mining company Jemse .

Other projects in the investment plan include the 100 MW Arauco wind farm in La Rioja province, consisting of 38 wind turbines with an individual capacity of 2.625 MW, supplied by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy , and a gas pipeline.
